Truck-Buck V will begin at daylight on Oct. 15 as bowhunters look for big antlers that could land them in next summer’s Truck-Buck Shoot-Out, where they could win a brand-new pickup truck.
Truck-Buck is a statewide contest that awards weekly prizes for the best bucks taken each week of deer season. With 15 weeks, a Youth Week (Nov. 11-14) and three wildcard opportunities, there are 19 different scoring periods when AON subscribers have the chance to win.
For Truck-Buck V, weekly winners in weeks 1-4 earn a Mathews Z7 Xtreme bow. A CVA Accura V2 muzzleloader goes to the Week 5 winner, and Savage X-Bolt Stainless Stalker deer rifles will be awarded to the winners from weeks 6-15. Our Youth Week winner will take home a Savage youth rifle. Our three wildcard winners collect Hunter Safety System harnesses.
The only prerequisite for entering the contest is to be an AON subscriber or a spouse or dependent of an AON subscriber before killing the buck you plan to enter.
Once you kill your Truck-Buck, enter it at <www.aonmag.com> or through the mail. Get your entry form (available in September-January issues of AON) and photos to AON within seven business days, and then at the end of the season we’ll measure the racks to determine weekly winners and Shoot-Out qualifiers.
There’s no entry fee to enter the Truck-Buck contest. Just be a paid subscriber to AON magazine.
